How YOU can help
CSC is currently supported by a small number of donors. We are seeking further support so that we can ensure that the concept, which has been so well received in the participating schools, can be rolled out and that ultimately pupils at every primary school in England and Wales have the opportunity to benefit from chess lessons and clubs at their school. Our donors have pledged to match pound to pound every £1,000 plus donation to CSC up to a limit of £250,000.
With matched funding:
- £1,000 supplies coaching and equipment for one year to 2 schools and 200 children
- £10,000 supplies coaching and equipment for one year to 20 schools and 2000 children
- £25,000 supplies a one year programme including coaching and equipment in a borough to a minimum of 50 schools and 5000 children
- £100,000 funds the CSC scheme nationwide 2011-12

It has now become even easier to donate to Chess in Schools and Communities. Thanks to Vodafone’s Just Text Giving scheme, mobile phone users can text any amount to donate to charity. Here’s how it works:
Step One
Text our unique charity code 'KING12' and the amount e.g. 'KING12 £5' to make your donation. Send to 70070.
Step Two
Receive a text confirmation of your donation.
Step Three
Receive a text asking if you want to Gift aid your donation*.
*If you Gift aid your donation, Chess in Schools and Communities will receive an additional 25p for every pound you give. Chess in Schools and Communities can claim Gift Aid tax relief of 25p on every pound you give.
