Which browsers does your site support?
The London Chess Centre have tried to make this site accessible to all of the main web browsers, including Firefox, Opera and Netscape. However we recommend that the site is best used with Internet Explorer. Should you have any technical problems viewing the site, please ensure you have the most up-to-date version of your browser.
Do you accept purchase orders?
Yes we do! You can fax your purchase to us at 020 7486 3355, or scan the order on heading paper and send as a PDF or JPEG to info@chess.co.uk. We will ship your goods as soon as we verify your organisation meets our needs for use of the purchase orders. From there we will deal with your Accounts Payable department for payment. Call 020 7486 7015 if you would like further advice.
Do you sell internationally?
Absolutely, and we have done for well over ten years now!
How can I pay for my order?
The easiest way is to pay on credit or debit card . We accept all major credit and debit cards, including American Express.
We also accept Paypal payments: please make these to sales@chess.co.uk
You are also able to pay by UK Sterling cheque or bank draft . Bank transfers for amounts over £100 are possible but are subject to bank charges. Please contact us if you would like to arrange for a bank transfer payment.
I am looking on your site for something in particular but I don't see it. What can I do?
Just ask! Email info@chess.co.uk or call 020 7486 7015 and we will do our best to help.
Alternatively, you can try Skype (username: chesscentre) - we are online during our regular working hours, and are available to take Instant Message support.
Do I get a discount for ordering more items?
Throughout the website you will see many offers for buying multiple items. If you are making a particularly large order, feel free to send us an email for a quote – the worst we can do is charge the amount advertised!
Do you have a brick and mortar store?
Yes, and it's the ideal way of choosing your product. Try as hard as we might to convey how nice our triple-weighted ebony chess pieces are, it's just not the same as being able to look at the set up close.
Our store in based in Central London and is open Monday to Saturday, 9.30am to 6pm and till 7pm on Thursdays - we are also open Sundays 11am till 5pm. We have members of staff who will be more than happy to help you choose the right set, book, computer or whatever else you'd care to buy. It's the ideal way of choosing your product.
